Last year was the first year that I finally decided to start the elf on the shelf tradition. Although I do think it is a cute idea, I also feel like its just one more thing to add to an already busy mom’s plate. That is why I decided to create a list of 25 EASY Elf on the Shelf Ideas for busy moms like you.

These are also great for when are finally about to doze off and you realize you forgot to move the elf, or those times where you wake up in the middle of the night because you forgot to move the elf. Yes, this happens… and if it hasn’t happened to you yet, just wait…it will 😊.
My youngest daughter started Preschool last year and I knew the kids would be talking about it. I decided this was a good time to start the tradition. I figured that if St. Nick brought them the elf, then the elf could just re-appear every year on December 6th. This way, it cuts out some of the days I needed to move the elf 😊…Winning!
Okay, so now we have the elf for 19 days. My kids are still young so I do not feel the need to be extravagant. Easy is good. I like the sound of it and the kids do not know the difference.
Since I am still a novice and only have a handful of ideas, I decided to reach out to some of the more experienced moms who have really great ideas for moving the elf around. These ideas are not only easy, but fun as well.
If you haven’t purchased and elf on the shelf, click on the image below to start the fun tradition. You can purchase a boy or a girl.
