A List of My Favorite Things… That Every Mom Needs

Okay, so besides some love, appreciation and sleep there are a list of things every mom needs!

As I move about my day I feel like my mind is constantly running. There are so many times where I am doing things around the house and I think to myself, “what would I do without this?” or “how did I ever survive before I had this?” Most of these items are things that I use EVERY DAY!

I have gathered a list of some of my favorite things that all moms should have. These are items that will not only make being a mom “easier” but it’s a list of items every mom deserves. You owe it to yourself to purchase some things that will make you happy, especially during this holiday season!

1. Ugg slippers

If you put anything on your Christmas list this year, Moms let it be THESE SLIPPERS! They are one of my favorite purchases and I do use them every day. They are comfortable and do not slide off your feet. You can use them outside because they have souls on the bottoms. I wear them so often that I have accidentally ran errands in them and did not even know I was wearing them. Whoops! 😊

2. Dry Bar Dry Shampoo

There are two reasons every mom needs to purchase Dry Bar Dry Shampoo. The first reason is every mom needs some sort of dry shampoo. Who has time to wash their hair everyday? It is also not healthy to wash your hair everyday. For the days you do not wash your hair, dry shampoo is great! The reason I love Dry Bar Dry Shampoo is because it smells SOOO good. It is like hair perfume! I have gotten so many compliments that my hair smells good, that I use it even on days that I do shampoo my hair, just because I love the smell so much.

3. Rae Dunn “Mom” Mug

Every mom needs her designated coffee mug. I have this thing with mugs. I am picky about them. These Rae Dunn Mugs are the best. They just look fun and simple to drink from, oh and they are dishwasher safe 😊.

4. Yeti Coffee Mugs

Not only does every mom need an “at home” mug, but every mom needs a “to-go” mug. Why? Because we are ALWAYS on the go. They are also good for those moms that find themselves constantly re-heating their coffee all day. Sound familiar???

5. Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds

When I am home, I am NEVER holding my phone. First of all, my phone is never on me. I am really never sitting down to be honest. I am always doing something. When I am on the phone, I am usually doing about 3 other things at the same time. I am sure most moms are that way too. That is why EVERY mom needs wireless bluetooth earbuds to be able to multi-task while on the phone. It’s also great when you have a newborn because you are never hands free 😊.

6. Steamer

Moms, save yourself time and money and get this steamer! I steam EVERYTHING. Yes, I even steam T-shirts and sweatshirts. It is also great for kids clothes. I sometimes ask myself why I even bother folding my kids clothes because every time I go in one of their drawers the clothes are EVERYWHERE! The clothes end up getting wrinkled. It’s okay though because it takes about 5 seconds to steam something. I keep the steamer in my closet and pull it out when I need it (which is everyday)!

7. The Dyson Absolute Vacuum

This is one of those things that I always say, “How did I survive my first two kids without this?” I purchased one of these a few years ago and I am in LOVE with it. It is not only a necessity for when you have that toddler who puts more food on the floor than his/her mouth, but it is great for every day use. The absolute vacuum picks up chunks of food and can work well on carpet and wood floor. The other great thing that I LOVE about this is that it acts as a dust buster as well. I have to clean out my car almost every day and it is SO easy to do with the Absolute vacuum. I am now able to keep a clean floor and a clean car DAILY because I have the Dyson V8 Absolute Vacuum.

8. Instapot or a Crockpot

While I am sure every mom has one of these, those that don’t, get one. They are relatively inexpensive and they are miracle workers. I am all about getting things to make my life easier and owning one of these has done just that!

9. Roomba

Aside from the absolute animal for daily spot cleaning, the Roomba is great for scheduled cleanings throughout the week. This robot picks up so much stuff. I cannot even believe what accumulates on our floors in just a couple days. This thing is brilliant. We schedule it to run 4 days a week during hours that do not get in our way. The robot cleans the designated areas and goes back to its charger to re-charge when it is done. Can you say winning???

10. Revlon One Step Hair Dryer and Hairbrush

All those years of drying your hair with a blow dryer and then straightening or curing it are in the past. Why even waste your time and money? The Revlon One Step Hair Dryer and Hairbrush is a game changer!

11. Comfortable Robe

Every mom needs a comfortable robe to lounge in on the weekends or on those extra cold days.

12. Plastic Wine Glasses

Of course every mom needs her wine glasses, but plastic wine glasses are a necessity. You never have to worry about them breaking 😊.

13. Leggings

This goes with without saying but every mom needs a good pair of leggings. I own many many pairs of leggings and the LulaRoe leggings are still my absolute favorite leggings.

14. Thermoflask Water Bottle

Every mom needs a good water bottle. Do no waste your money on the one’s that tell you when you need to drink. Just get a Thermoflask water bottle that stays cold and you can enjoy drinking from it!

15. Oil Diffuser

If you do not own an oil diffuser and essential oils you are missing out. The diffusers not only make your home smell great but the different oils are great for all sorts of ailments. This book it great for explaining which oils are best for which ailments.

16. Neck Warmer

At the end of a long day, or a stressful week, this neck heating pad is amazing. I heat up my neck pillow almost every night before bed. I make it part of my nightly routine. Once I heat it up, I add some lavender essential oil and it feels so relaxing!

17. Weighted Blanket

Not only every mom, but every human being needs to own one of these. Weighted blankets are so great especially if you live in the Midwest where it is cold 9 months out of the year!

18. Foam roller

Foam rollers are great for stretching out your back. Whether it be from carrying kids, bags or running around, foam rollers are great to relieve muscle tightness or soreness.

19. A SnapBasket

Once you are past the diaper bag phase and you no longer need it, this Snapbasket is a great transition bag for when you take the kids for a long day or weekend. It fits a ton of stuff and you can easily find what you need. It is also great for grocery shopping! Not to mention, it is super cute 😊.

20. Planner

Yes, I know we live in a digital world but there is something that keeps me connected to my daily planner. I just like to keep everything in a book. It just allows me to see things more clearly!
